After losing to the Milwaukee Bucks, 119-114, last night, Friday, March 9, 2012, in Milwaukee, the New York Knicks have now lost four straight games. The Knicks, who ended the month of February with a 18-18 record, are now 18-22.

Knicks in Big Trouble After Losing to Milwaukee Bucks for Fourth Straight Loss
The loss to the Bucks was particularly bad for the Knicks because Milwaukee is chasing the Knicks for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. Milwaukee improved to 16-24 on the season, and moved to within two games of the Knicks for the last playoff spot.
With the four losses in a row, the New York Knicks now find themselves in big trouble right now in the 2012 season. The four losses were all on the road though, and the first three were to the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs. Those three losses on the road were understandable, but the loss to Milwaukee was not.
Knicks More Talented Team Than Bucks but Played Without Tyson Chandler and Jared Jeffries
The Knicks are clearly a better team than the Milwaukee Bucks in terms of talent. But the Knicks played the Bucks without Tyson Chandler or Jared Jeffries, who are both battling injuries. Without Chandler or Jeffries, the Knicks are vulnerable inside and Ersan Ilysova took full advantage last night.
Ilysova made nine of 13 shots, and scored a game high 26 points. Brandon Jennings and Mike Dunleavy both scored 25 points for the Bucks, who made 13 of 26 shots from three-point range last night. What was really painful for the Knicks, is the fact that they had a 65-61 lead at the half and looked to be in control of the game.
The Bucks though outscored the Knicks 32-18 in the third quarter, and the Knicks spent a huge amount of energy catching up in the fourth quarter, only to lose the game anyway. Carmelo Anthony, my favorite NBA player and why I root for the Knicks, had another poor game vs the Bucks. Melo only made seven of 17 shots from the field, and scored 22 points.
Melo did drive to the basket a lot in the fourth quarter as the Knicks came back in the game. He needs to do that the whole game though, in my opinion.
While Carmelo Anthony Played Poorly, Jeremy Lin Played Well Overall
On a bight note, Jeremy Lin looked pretty good in the game for the most part. He scored 20 points on eight of 14 shooting from the field, and had 13 assists.
For whatever reason though, the Knicks played Baron Davis a lot at point last night with Jeremy Lin also in the game. After not playing great in the third quarter, Baron Davis did lead the Knicks back in the fourth quarter, but he still only made four of 10 shots in the game.
Next Up is a Big Game vs the Philadelphia 76ers at the Garden on Sunday
Overall, a very disappointing loss for the New York Knicks to a team that has a lot less talent than they do. What’s worrisome for the Knicks is that their next five games are not going to be easy.
Next up is the Philadelphia 76ers at noon on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Madison Square Garden. Then the Knicks travel to Chicago to take on the Chicago Bulls on Monday.
After the Bulls, the Knicks then play the Portland Trail Blazers at the Garden, and then play consecutive home and away games vs the Indiana Pacers. Those are five more tough games in a row. If the Knicks lose all five they are going to in a lot of trouble this season in terms of just making the playoffs.
